AWARD OF THE SEAL OF RECOGNITION FOR ACTIVE FAO AGRIS DATA PROVIDERS - ISN

SANA Avian Health and Disease Research Institute Earns International FAO AGRIS Recognition

The SANA Avian Health and Disease Research Institute has been awarded the *“Seal of Recognition for Active Data Provider of the Year 2026”* by FAO AGRIS, the global agricultural information system of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). This achievement reflects the institute’s strategic approach to knowledge management, systematic scientific data production, and active engagement with international research networks.

This recognition highlights SANA’s central role as a producer, organizer, and steward of scientific data in the field of avian health and diseases. Through a structured, standardized, and globally compliant data workflow, the institute has made high-quality, retrievable scientific information available to the international research community. By establishing a coherent cycle of *“Research → Documentation → Standardization → Dissemination,”* SANA has strengthened its position as a trusted global data provider.

Within this framework, the Journal of Poultry Sciences and Avian Diseases (JPSAD)—the official publishing arm of the institute—has played an operational and technical role in dissemination, metadata standardization, and systematic transfer of SANA’s scientific outputs to the AGRIS platform. A significant portion of the institute’s indexed content on AGRIS results from coordinated publishing policies and targeted dissemination through JPSAD.

Guided scientifically by SANA and adhering to principles of research ethics, data transparency, and global accessibility, JPSAD provides a reliable platform for enhancing the visibility and international impact of the institute’s research achievements. Nevertheless, scientific leadership, data governance, and continued engagement with FAO AGRIS are directly overseen by the SANA Institute itself.

According to FAO AGRIS, the award for 2026 was granted in recognition of the quality of data, continuity of contributions, and institutional consistency demonstrated by SANA. Maintaining this strategic approach will enable the institute to remain eligible for renewals of the award in future years.

The SANA Avian Health and Disease Research Institute regards this accomplishment as a milestone in institutional maturity in science governance, data management, and international scientific diplomacy. The institute also emphasizes the importance of further strengthening the role of JPSAD as a key supporting instrument in fulfilling its overarching research mission.
