The Molecular Diagnostics department is equipped with Real-Time PCR instruments, conventional PCR thermal cyclers, electrophoresis systems, and NanoDrop spectrophotometers. This unit utilizes advanced techniques including nucleic acid extraction, primer and probe design, RFLP, Nested PCR, Multiplex PCR, and Real-Time PCR to deliver rapid and ultra-sensitive detection of pathogenic agents. Detectable diseases and targets include Newcastle Disease, Infectious Bronchitis, Avian Influenza, Gumboro, Marek's Disease, Circovirus (PBFD), Mycoplasma, Salmonella, Ornithobacteriosis, Avian Adenovirus, Polyomavirus, Aspergillus, blood parasites, as well as species identification in meat, gelatin, oils, and GMO product authentication. Quality control is ensured through the use of positive and negative controls and internal standards.
