
The Persian translation of the book “Role of Birds in Transmitting Zoonotic Pathogens” has been published by the University of Tehran Press. The translation was carried out by Dr. Jamshid Razmyar, Professor at the University of Tehran, with the collaboration of Dr. Mohammad Barari and Dr. Hamed Behmand.
Originally authored by Yashpal Singh Malik, Arockiasamy Arun Prince Milton, Sandeep Ghatak, and Souvik Ghosh, the book examines the role of birds in the transmission and spread of zoonotic pathogens, with a particular focus on diseases and infectious agents shared between humans and animals.
Given the important role of birds in the transmission cycles of certain zoonotic diseases, as well as the growing importance of avian health, pathogen surveillance, and the One Health approach, this book can serve as a valuable scientific resource for veterinarians, avian health specialists, researchers, students, and other professionals working in the fields of veterinary medicine, public health, and zoonotic diseases.
