Final Approval of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology’s Council for the Expansion of Higher Education for the Operation of SANA Avian Health and Diseases Research Institute (SANA Darman)

The Council for the Expansion of Higher Education of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, at its 985th session held on November 4, 2025, approved the conversion of the preliminary license into final approval for the operation of the SANA Darman Research Institute for Avian Health and Diseases (private).

According to this resolution, the activities of the research institute and its affiliated research groups—including fungal, parasitic, and metabolic diseases, bacterial diseases of birds, and viral diseases of birds—will continue on an official and permanent basis.

Furthermore, the Council approved the amendment of the institute’s statute and the removal of any time limitation on its operational period, a decision that reflects the confidence of higher education policymaking bodies in the scientific and research capacities of this center.

This resolution is of particular importance for the following reasons:

  1. Stabilization of the Institute’s Legal and National Status
The conversion from preliminary to final approval formally places SANA Darman among the officially recognized and accredited higher education research centers of the country.

  2. Enhanced Sustainability of Research Activities
The removal of time limitations enables long-term research planning and the development of scientific infrastructure.

  3. Strengthening National Scientific Authority in Avian Diseases
Official recognition of the three specialized research groups enhances national capacity for surveillance, prevention, and control of poultry diseases.

  4. Expansion of National and International Collaboration
Final approval facilitates the implementation of joint research projects, attraction of research funding, and increased scientific output.

This decision represents a significant milestone for the SANA Darman Research Institute for Avian Health and Diseases and paves the way for the expansion of specialized activities in the field of poultry health.
