Serology
The Serology department employs ELISA readers and washers, along with agglutination systems, to monitor protective antibody levels and screen for viral and bacterial diseases in poultry flocks. Specialized tests performed in this unit include ELISA (quantitative and qualitative), rapid agglutination, Hemagglutination Inhibition (HI), Agar Gel Immunodiffusion (AGID), and Serum Neutralization Test (SNT) as the gold standard reference method. These assays are essential for evaluating vaccination responses and diagnosing diseases such as Newcastle Disease, Infectious Bronchitis, Gumboro (IBD), Avian Influenza, Mycoplasmosis, Salmonellosis, and others.
